Can neuropathy really improve?
Many people living with neuropathy can experience meaningful improvement with the right treatment approach. While every patient's results are different and depend on the cause and severity of their condition, our goal is to help you reduce symptoms, improve function, and maintain your independence. Rather than simply masking symptoms, Dr. Caldero takes a holistic approach by combining advanced therapies that work together to support healthier nerve function, improve circulation, and encourage your body's natural healing processes — all without relying on medications or their potential side effects. Because your nervous system connects your entire body, every aspect of your treatment is designed to support your overall health, not just your feet or hands. Our mission is simple: to help you stay active, mobile, and as independent as possible so you can continue enjoying the activities that matter most to you.
Is the $95 really everything?
Yes. Our $95 New Patient Visit includes your: • Consultation • Comprehensive Examination • One-on-one discussion with Dr. Caldero • Your first treatment (performed by the doctor) Many offices advertise a FREE consultation or a low introductory fee. While those offers may sound appealing, they often do not include an examination or treatment. In many cases, you'll need to return for another appointment before any care begins. At Caldero Chiropractic, we believe your time is valuable. That's why we've designed our New Patient Visit to provide everything you need to get started — all in one appointment. For just $95, you'll meet personally with Dr. Caldero, receive a thorough evaluation, have all of your questions answered, and begin treatment the very same day. If Dr. Caldero doesn't believe you're a good candidate for our care, he'll let you know and discuss the most appropriate next steps. We truly care about our community and strive to provide exceptional care at an affordable price. We invite you to read our 290+ Five-Star Google Reviews and see why so many patients have trusted Caldero Chiropractic with their health. Your $95 New Patient Visit Includes Treatment — because we believe you deserve more than just a consultation.
Does insurance cover neuropathy treatment?
In most cases, no. Many of the advanced therapies we use to treat neuropathy — including Hako-Med Horizontal Therapy, Class IV Laser Therapy, Photobiomodulation (Red Light Therapy), PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy), and Shockwave Therapy — are typically not covered by health insurance or Medicare, even though many patients find them beneficial. During our nearly 30 years of practice, we've found that insurance often provides better coverage for doctor visits, diagnostic testing, and prescription medications than for advanced, non-invasive treatments designed to support nerve health and healing. When we accepted insurance for chiropractic care, we found that insurance reimbursement often didn't reflect the time, technology, and personalized attention we believe every patient deserves. Rather than limiting care based on insurance restrictions, we chose to become a cash-based practice so Dr. Caldero can recommend the treatments he believes are most appropriate for your condition — not just those an insurance company may choose to reimburse. Over the years, we made a conscious decision to invest our time and energy where it has the greatest impact — our patients. Instead of spending hours on insurance paperwork, claim denials, and reimbursement issues, we'd rather devote that time to listening, educating, treating, and helping our patients achieve the best possible outcomes. We believe our focus should be on your healing — not on fighting with insurance companies. We also believe in simple, transparent pricing with no surprise bills or unexpected charges.
Will the treatment hurt?
No. Most patients find our treatments comfortable and relaxing. Your treatment plan is personalized based on your examination and may include Hako-Med Horizontal Therapy, Class IV Laser Therapy, Photobiomodulation (Red Light Therapy), and other advanced therapies designed to help improve circulation, reduce discomfort, and support healthier nerve function. Many patients use their treatment time to simply relax. Feel free to bring a book, listen to a podcast, or enjoy your favorite music during your session. If you plan to listen to audio, please bring your headphones. In fact, many patients become so relaxed during their treatment that they drift off to sleep for a few minutes — and that's perfectly okay. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxing experience while delivering personalized care based on your individual needs and symptoms.
How many treatments will I need?
Every patient is different. Your treatment plan depends on the cause of your neuropathy, the severity of your symptoms, and how long you've been experiencing them. Because neuropathy develops over time, meaningful improvement typically doesn't happen after just one or two treatments. Nerves heal slowly, and restoring healthier nerve function requires consistency, patience, and commitment. It's important to be realistic. If you've been living with neuropathy for months — or even years — it's unlikely that a single treatment will solve the problem. No one likes to hear that healing takes time, but that's simply the reality of how the body heals. The good news is that treatment doesn't last forever. Patients who stay consistent with their care often begin noticing gradual improvements and many tell us they wish they had started sooner. Most medical appointments are focused on diagnosing the problem and managing symptoms, often with prescription medications. While medication can be an important part of care for some patients, many people are looking for additional options to help improve their quality of life. At Caldero Chiropractic, Dr. Caldero takes the time to educate you about your condition, answer your questions, and guide you through a personalized treatment plan. His goal is to support your body's natural healing process using advanced, non-invasive therapies while also providing practical recommendations you can use at home. The patients who achieve the best results are typically those who follow their personalized treatment plan, along with recommended nutritional support and healthy lifestyle habits. Dr. Caldero may also recommend specific supplements, dietary changes, home exercises, and other strategies to support your nerve health and overall healing. These recommendations are never mandatory, but they can make a meaningful difference in how quickly and how well you improve. What you do between visits matters. Dr. Caldero will do his part during your treatments, but your daily habits at home also play an important role in your recovery. When patients actively participate in their healing, they often experience better and longer-lasting results. After your examination, Dr. Caldero will explain his findings, answer all of your questions, and recommend the treatment plan he believes will give you the best opportunity for improvement. Together, you'll decide whether our approach is the right fit for your health goals.
What causes neuropathy?
Neuropathy can be caused by diabetes, chemotherapy, injuries, vitamin deficiencies, spinal problems, and many other conditions. Sometimes the exact cause is never identified. For a more in-depth explanation of the different causes, symptoms, and treatment options, we encourage you to download our FREE Neuropathy Guide. It's a concise, easy-to-read 12-page resource that Dr. Caldero carefully prepared to help you better understand your condition before your appointment. Whether you read it cover-to-cover or simply scan the sections most important to you, we believe you'll find it informative and helpful. It's available in both English and Spanish.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can schedule an appointment with us directly — no referral is required. Many of our patients tell us they've spent months — or even years — going from one healthcare provider to another. They've seen their primary care physician, podiatrist, neurologist, physical therapist, and undergone X-rays, MRIs, nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCV), blood work, and other diagnostic testing. Many tell us they were prescribed medications to help manage their pain, while others were referred to physical therapy. They understand they need to stay active and keep moving — but when every step feels like burning, tingling, numbness, or sharp pain, that's often much easier said than done. Some patients also tell us that while their medications helped reduce their pain, they left them feeling tired, drowsy, mentally foggy, or simply unable to function the way they used to. They weren't just living with neuropathy — they were living with the side effects of trying to manage it. Neuropathy doesn't just affect your feet. It affects your entire life. It affects your ability to work, enjoy hobbies, travel, exercise, sleep through the night, and maintain your independence. It affects your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, and everyone who cares about you. When you're living with constant pain, the people you love often feel it too. By the time many patients arrive at our office, they aren't just looking for pain relief — they're looking to get their life back. They want to walk through the grocery store without stopping every few minutes. They want to play with their grandchildren, enjoy vacations, attend church, work in the yard, sleep better, and get back to doing the things they once took for granted. That's why they're looking for another approach. At Caldero Chiropractic, you don't have to wait weeks or months to begin care. We offer advanced, non-invasive therapies designed to support healthier nerve function, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and help your body function at its highest potential. If Dr. Caldero believes additional testing or another specialist is appropriate, he'll explain why and help guide you in the right direction. Today, patients have more options than ever before. With advanced technology and a holistic approach to care, you may be able to start feeling better without relying solely on medications or their potential side effects.
I've had neuropathy for years. Can you still help me?
Yes. No matter what stage you're in, there's often an opportunity to work toward improving your quality of life. One story that is especially meaningful to our family is Dr. Caldero's mother-in-law, Armida. As a diabetic, she developed severe neuropathy and painful ulcers on her heel. Her family was told that if the ulcers didn't improve, amputation might become necessary. Hearing those words was devastating. Rather than giving up hope, Dr. Caldero developed a personalized treatment plan using advanced therapies, nutritional support, and lifestyle recommendations. Over time, Armida's ulcers healed, her symptoms improved, and she was able to avoid amputation. While every patient is different and we cannot guarantee the same results, her story reminds us that there is often more than one path to explore. Your current health, the cause of your neuropathy, your commitment to treatment, and the resources available to you all play an important role in your progress. Many people don't realize there are options beyond simply taking medication to mask their symptoms. At Caldero Chiropractic, our goal is to help reduce inflammation, support healthier nerve function, improve circulation, and give your body the best opportunity to heal naturally. Hope begins by taking the first step. We'd be honored to help you determine whether our approach is right for you.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually much sooner than waiting weeks — or even months — for a referral to be authorized and an appointment with a specialist. At Caldero Chiropractic, you don't need a referral. We can typically schedule new patients within 2–5 business days, and occasionally even sooner if we have a cancellation. The sooner you begin treatment, the sooner you can start working toward better nerve health. Neuropathy often progresses over time, so delaying care may allow your symptoms to continue worsening. If you're experiencing burning, tingling, numbness, pain, or balance problems, don't wait. Call us today, and we'll do our very best to get you scheduled as soon as possible. You've waited long enough for answers. Now it's time to find out whether our approach may be right for you.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Preparing for your visit is easy. If available, please bring: • Comfortable clothing (similar to what you'd wear for exercise or physical therapy) • A list of your current medications • A list of any vitamins or supplements you take • Any recent X-rays, MRI, CT scans, blood work, EMG/NCV studies, or other medical reports related to your condition. Please bring the written radiology reports rather than imaging CDs, as we are unable to view CDs in our office. If you have paper copies, we'll be happy to make copies for your chart and return the originals to you. • A written list of any questions you'd like to ask Dr. Caldero Don't have any medical records? That's okay! Many of our patients come to their first visit without X-rays, MRIs, or medical records. Dr. Caldero will perform a comprehensive consultation and examination to better understand your condition, answer all of your questions, and determine the most appropriate treatment plan. If additional testing is needed, he'll explain why and help guide you through the next steps. Payment options: We accept Cash, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, HSA/FSA Cards, and contactless payments. Your $95 New Patient Visit Includes Treatment — because we believe you deserve more than just a consultation.
